Brief summary of artist / programme (biography and overall content and themes) 

Rosie Green is a 17 year old British artist born on March 19th 2004 in Croydon. Rosie has always had a love for music and went to a performing arts program called stage coach to develop her talent as a young singer. Green specialises in the genre of R&B with the subgenera of soul, her music often reflects her relationships as she feels that is the best way to express herself as an artist.S= She has nearly 800,000 subscribers on youtube with many videos reaching over a million views. A lot of teenagers and young woman listen to her music as it is very relatable.

The song I will be using is 'Did you mean it' by Sydney Renae, and it came out in 2016. The song is about a relationship where the women finds out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her and confronts him about it. In one of the lyrics she generalises the song so that her audience who have been through the same thing can relate to her 'these are the steps that n****s tend to take'.

Initial Narrative/ performance  ideas for video/sequence

The video will start of in the artists bedroom where she is feeling own and then it will move to outside maybe in central London when she gets back to being herself and not upset about the situation anymore

Initial ideas for use of technical codes in video/sequence  e.g lighting, settings , props and costume, use of camera 

The video is gonna be based in a bedroom and outside, the costume for the artist will be a picture of lounge wear and dressy to go with the storyline of the song and too reface the mood.

Representation of women- KEY TEXT TIDE

 Women are represented as the domestic workers in the family household, this is shown in the advert as it is only women depicted on the poster which suggest that only women do all the domestic chores such as the washing in the household. This also fits in with the time time period the advert was created (the 1950s). Even though today the domestic work in the household is split more equally, in the advert the women don't really look  bothered that they are doing all of the housework this is shown by how the women depicted on the advert are smiling which connotes happiness and enjoyment of washing the clothes. You can also tell that women are the only ones who do the housework, because one of the texts says "tides got what women want" it doesn't say women and men it only says women which shows that the product is targeted at just women as they do the domestics work. It is a film for escapist entertainment, it brings out emotions e.g. making you laugh or cry. The main genres its associated with are superhero, action and science fiction.
